Prestigious company based within the Derbyshire area is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant who has had exposure to group consolidated accounts. Our client will consider candidates who are qualified or part qualified including candidates who are from practice and looking for their first step into industry.

Duties:

• Developing, improving & delivering the financial reporting & forecasting for all group companies and consolidated accounts
• Standardisation & roll out of best practices in financial reporting to accounting standards
• Delivery of improvement projects to automate & standardise financial entries from other business systems into the general ledger
• Management of chart of accounts
• Responsible for ensuring the general ledger is prepared to trial balance
• Support on the Treasury management for all group companies
• Responsible for ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
• Maintenance of the fixed asset registers
• Administration of the group insurance policies & pension schemes
• Completion of VAT Returns (UK and Germany) & oversight of other group companies
• Completion of corporation tax schedules
• Responsible for the maintenance of the finance and operating lease schedules
• Management & development of the Assistant Accountant.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Pension Scheme, Life Insurance
