The ideal candidate will be fully qualified and have a solid understanding of IFRS. Our client will look at qualified candidates from Industry and Practice. This role is easily commutable from the Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area.

Job Title: Divisional Accountant

Duties:

• Provide support to various Divisional company Finance teams to address any issues arising
• Responsible for ensuring the appropriate financial standards are maintained in each entity
• Undertake regular business reviews, working closely with Divisional Directors
• Review and challenge monthly forecasts
• Oversee annual budgeting process
• Implement “best practice” throughout the Division
• Produce/review year end accounts
• Review external and internal audit findings, working closely with local finance teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented
• To assist with and take sole responsibility for specific ad hoc projects on behalf of the division e.g. provision of financial support in the acquisition process, and implementation of new financial systems.
• Proactively liaise and communicate with Directors and senior managers of the Group companies
• Liaise with Group Finance as required

Candidate requirements:

• This position will suit a qualified accountant with at least 3 years’ experience post qualification.
• A good understanding of IFRS/IAS is desired.

Salary £40,000 - £50,000 + Very good benefits
