Events Coordinator required for a prestigious Leicester Hotel. This opportunity is easily commutable from the Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area. You will need to have current or previous Hotel experience in a similar role to be considered for this position.
Job Summary:
The Event Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organisation, and preparing all functions sheets assigned to him/her.

Operational Responsibilities:
- Organise and implement the day-to-day tasks within the events department, including all clerical and event management aspects of the role
- To organise events, liaise with the customer and prepare function sheets to a standard that supports the rest of the events and operations team
- To ensure that all new events assigned to him/her are managed in a timely and accurate manner
- Oversee the events office in the absence of the Event Manager
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing calls in the events office are answered according to the hotel standard operating guidelines
- Ensure all enquiries are responded within the hotel standard operating guidelines
- To manage the effective communication of function sheets within the hotel by way of function sheet meetings and other methods of communication
- To ensure that the accurate function sheets are distributed in a timely manner.
- To ensure deposit schedule are adhered to
- To be available to meet the needs of the business as required.
Financial Responsibilities
- All function sheets and event contracts are kept current
- Hotel Procedures for purchasing of all items are followed and to notify the Hotel Manager of any problems encountered.
- To ensure deposit schedules are maintained to optimise the cash flow of the hotel
- Ensure timely follow up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
- To ensure all events are booked properly to eliminate errors and minimise contractual risk to the business
- To ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
- Remain constantly aware of financial objectives and budget targets of the business
Salary up to £23,000 + annual Bonus (on average £1000 - £1,200) + free daily lunch + free access to hotel facilities, Gym, swimming pool etc
